Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon (OAM) and i’move are pleased to announce that i’move has joined OAM to create the largest physical and occupational therapy group on the West Michigan Lakeshore. The newly expanded PT/OT network will include more than sixty therapists at twelve locations across West Michigan, including five in the Muskegon area, plus locations in Whitehall, Spring Lake, Grand Haven, Grand Rapids, Rockford, Ferrysburg, and Holland. Existing OAM physical therapy offices will now operate under the i’move name, and current OAM and i’move therapy patients can expect a seamless transition without any interruption to their care.
OAM CEO Jeff Cave said the two organizations have worked well together in the past, which made the decision to formalize their partnership an easy one. “We are very excited to have everyone at i’move join our team,” Cave said. “Together, we will be able to maintain 1:1 patient care, something that is becoming less common in our industry. We are also committed to continuing to pursue the latest innovations in PT/OT for our patients, maintaining our relationships with the three school districts where we have on-site facilities, and working closely with West Michigan employers on workplace injury prevention. Expanding our footprint will support our efforts to recruit top talent to the area as well.”
i’move founder Marty Sytsema echoed Cave’s excitement about the new partnership. “We have historically worked closely with OAM physicians to care for our shared patients, and we have seen the skill level of their surgeons and other medical staff to make accurate diagnoses and deliver the highest level of care,” he said. “This has given us the opportunity to see first-hand that the two organizations share the same values, and we look forward to combining our brands to provide the best orthopaedic and rehabilitation services along the lakeshore.”
