Dr. Lamping is a fellowship-trained, orthopaedic spine surgeon who specializes in both minimally invasive and traditional surgical techniques. Patients may be experiencing nerve related pain, weakness or numbness as a result of degenerative disease, trauma, infection, tumors, instability, or failed prior surgery of the spine. He first stresses the importance of exhausting conservative, non-operative spine care by collaborating with our therapists and non-operative spine care physicians in order to decrease pain and improve patients’ function and quality of life. Dr. Lamping also provides guidance as to the appropriate surgical invention after non-operative treatments have been exhausted to provide a lasting clinical benefit for his patients.
I would recommend Dr. Lamping to anyone thinking about spine surgery. In June of 2023 he preformed an ALIF fusion of my L5 and S1. I had been suffering with progressively worsening and debilitating pain for over 30 years. Five years ago I left a lucrative career in Trucking because I could no longer tolerate driving long hours. The last few years driving even as little as 45 minutes left me limping in pain. It is now 7 months since the procedure and I feel like I have a new lease on life. I'm back to work part time delivering and picking up heavy equipment and getting my strength back. I'm able to drive long distances with virtually no pain. Thanks to Dr. Lamping I plan to return to driving semi full time in the spring. I'm very fortunate and grateful to have been guided to such a compassionate and highly competent surgeon.
