ABOUT THE POSITION

Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon (OAM) is seeking a X-ray Technologist to join our radiology team. The X-ray technologist is a medical professional who utilizes radiation to produce images which are used by physicians to diagnose and treat injuries. The X-ray tech at OAM must be a detail-oriented individual who has the ability to endure the stresses of a busy orthopaedic practice yet remain sensitive to the physical pain and needs of our patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be able to position patients appropriately to capture relevant images as ordered per by physician.
  • Must have mechanical ability to operate and maintain radiographic equipment as well as manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to learn to navigate the following software programs: PACS; Practice Management' Electronic Health Record (EMR)
  • Must document all X-rays taken in patient’s chart
  • Must have the ability to import and export digital images
  • Maintains supply inventory as needed
  • Performs other duties as requested

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS

  • Certification in Radiologic/X-ray Technology from accredited institution.
  • Experience preferred but will train appropriate candidate.
  • Expected hours: 40 per week
